This company’s mission is to provide rockets for clients who need low cost, agile launches with no frills. With my work I’ve tried to convey that DIY, rough and tumble attitude, while evoking the ingenuity and technical scale of the Apollo Missions. As a freelance designer and illustrator, I’ve created modular assets for use in marketing and internal presentations. My work here is ongoing, and some work has been omitted but I’ve made 3D models, illustrations, maps, and more.

The following are blueprint-style illustrations of this company’s flagship rocket. I began with simple line illustrations of these. It was important to me that the turnaround on different angles of these rockets was fast and accurate, so all line illustrations began with me 3D modeling in Blender and were procedurally generated from there.

Competitor Comparisons

This diagram depicts the modularity of a typical light rocket launch. The rocket and all auxiliary equiptment can be shipped in iso containers and the launch can be controlled remotely.

These are detailed exploded views of the various stages a rocket that show, with a little artistic license, how the rocket components would separate. These are also generated from 3D models I created.

This series of illustrations (some of which have been redacted) was inspired by the speculative illustration commissioned by NASA for the Apollo missions. I’ve attempted here to evoke the airbrushed texture of a mid-century illustration with 3D shaders and minor post processing.
